えなろぐ

日本橋高島屋で今週開催されている日本いけばな芸術展への招待券をいただいたので今日行ってまいりました。大勢マダムがいらっしゃって混雑していました。これ、出展するのにかなりマネーがかかるらしいです。

入ってみると・・・想像していたものと全く違って、斬新＆でかい！花　じゃないじゃん！！みたいなのもいっぱいありました。べんきょーになります。

これ、葱みたいでしょ？葱かなー？

こちらはペットボトルを使って、ししとうとか花などを飾った作品。びびります。

そしてこれは何だと思います？たまねぎの皮を大量にデコレートした作品。息子「おかーさん、今日もカレーなのー！！（怒）」

へちまで花を立てている方もいました。参考になります。

私が習っている生け花の流派は広山流。
「梅は梅らしく桃は桃らしく」の言葉どおり、その花に合った生け方をするのが特徴です。

広山流からはこのような作品が出展されていました。 シンプルで秋らしくてとても美しい。

えなろぐis up ! The installation took me 3 hours.
This is not WordPress’s fault. Their 5 minute installation claim is true.
What took me so long was because I wanted to localize WordPress to use Japanese.

At first, I tried WordPress Me but that failed because my Web Host didn’t configure PHP with mbstring. So I went back to using the “mo” approach but hit a wall trying to find the mo files. The link (http://svn.automattic.com/wordpress-i18n/) on the Codex pointed me to a Subversion repository with no explanation of what files to pick up.

Finally, I decided to hunt around in WordPress Me for the mo files. Bless me ! The mo files were in the distribution. I quickly copied it and the installation went rather smoothly…..the install kept wanting to use UTF-8 when the mo files I got were encoded in EUC-JP. However, a quick change to the settings fixed that after I installed successfully.

So, here I am. 3 hours later. First post. I am happy !! What i’d do for my lovely wife.
